Yes, our admin office is located in midtown, 2101 Crawford, Suite 211, Houston. TX 77002. We also have offices at HCC-Southeast, HCC-Coleman College for Health Sciences, HCC-West Loop, and the United Way Bay Area Center. Please contact us to make an appointment.
Capital IDEA Houston & Capital IDEA are part of a network of 6 sister organizations throughout the state that provide training opportunities in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, The Rio Grande Valley, El Paso, and Houston.
We only sponsor high-growth, high-demand careers that lead to a living wage in our region. We carefully select the sponsored careers by analyzing labor market research and collaborating with training partners. We don’t directly train people, but we work with partners, such as Houston Community College, who train people.
No, we do not pay past tuition bills or student loans.

Scholarships are often a monetary award given to an individual without the wrap-around support. Capital IDEA Houston sponsors education/training and provides a Career Navigator and holistic wrap-around support services to participants through our partnerships with training partners. We provide peer support groups and also post graduation services, such as licensure, certification, and placement assistance.
Capital IDEA Houston was started by The Metropolitan Organization (TMO) to provide economic opportunities leading to living wage employment for the Greater Houston residents. Visit our About page for more information.
We primarily serve BIPOC living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please see our minimum qualifications on our Participant Programs page.
Not only do we help pay for tuition towards college degree or short-term training programs, but we also provide wrap-around services, such as a Career Navigator, tutoring, and case management. Furthermore, we provide connections to resources to overcome challenges to achieving academic success.
